It was great to catch up with so many of you at the client evening. For everyone who couldn't make it, here's the gist of Lisa's (pictured below) talk on "No More Bad Hair Days".

Follow these three principles for great looking hair:
1. Get a fabulous cut - make sure you get an in depth consultation with a stylist to get the shape and effect which best suits you and your lifestyle. If possible, have a visual image of the style you might like (from a hair or style mag. etc.) And, don't forget to talk to your stylist about any problems you are having with your hair.
2. Use the right products -ie for fine/lifeless hair go for a light volumising shampoo and conditioner; for thick, curly or "big" hair go for products that replenish and hydrate. Professional products can take your hair to another level, so try out your stylists recomendations.
3. Learn to use your tools - get your stylist to show you how! For heat styling always use a heat defence spray, to protect your hair from heat damage. Invest in a professional dryer, it will cost no more that one from the highstreet but give much better results. Lisa recommended an air brush dryer for those of us who struggle with juggling a hairdryer and hairbrush. An airbrush dryer combines both in an easy to use tool.
We also had lots of fun talking through our various hair problems, and how to solve them.

Christmas Special Client Evening
Hopefully, you're now inspired to come to our next free event which is on Friday, 28th of November 7.30-9.30. There will be mince pies, mulled punch, festive music and plenty of time to relax and chat. And, to make Christmas shopping easier, there will be stalls selling lots of lovely goodies. Ther will be different styles of jewellery, bags, scarves, hairproducts, and Fairtrade goods, plus our own Jane Fardon Cosmetics range. To make more space, the evening will be held in Jane's home (in the courtyard next to the Studio.)

Jane Fardon Cosmetics
After year's of work, Jane Fardon has launched her own fantastic cosmetics range. The range includes everything you'd expect like foundation, blushers, eyeshadow, mascara and lipsticks. Plus, there's some innovotive new products like foundation primer and shadow lifting pens which are superb at smoothing fine lines and covering shadows under the eyes - and we could all do with some of that! We, along with lots of other image consultants, are now offering the range to our clients. Our most flexible, 1to1 service is really taking off. This is where we offer consultations specially tailored to a clients particular needs and work on an individual basis. Client feedback has been fantastic. To find out more click here
We've also been out and about giving lots of talks, presentations and training sessions on colour, style and image. We've worked with employers, and supported charity fund raising activities (as the main speakers for colour and style evenings and giving advice and mini make-overs at pampering events) . We've been described as the "Style Doctors", "Sheffield's answer to Trinny and Sussanah" and even "classy birds" and really enjoyed meeting lots of new people. Our latest projects are helping sixth formers develop enterprise through organising clothes swop events, and doing Dress For Success training with college students.

We've grown
In the summer three new part-time consultants joined us: Adelle Aderhold, Faye Smith and Siobhan Mc Feely, so there are now 5 of us in the team. This means we can now offer more consultations on Saturdays and in the school holidays, in addition to the usual weekday slots. Some of you reading this will already have met Adelle, Faye and Siobahn and know how lovely they are. Everyone else will have to take our word for it...
